this post till the end to get the answers of your questions.
In this post I’ll be telling you in short:
1.What happens in PCOS
/PCOD?
2.Will there be a difficulty in having a baby?

4.What is the treatment available?
1.What happens in PCOS/PCOD?
Let me explain the normal monthly period cycle
first.
It is a play of hormones.
There are 4 major hormones which regulate the period
cycle.
The increasing and decreasing amount of these, lead
to the various phases of the cycle.
The ovum starts growing; once it is mature ,it gets released into the uterus through a tube. If it meets the sperm, it is converted to pregnancy.
But if it does not meet a sperm , ovum along with the uterus lining is scraped out in the form of periods.
There is hormonal imbalance in the female body which
leads to this condition.
The decreased amount of one and increased amount of
other , hampers the progression of the cycle into the successive phases.
The ovum grows to a particular level and then gets
arrested in a small fluid filled sac.
It does not progress further , so the cycle is at a
standstill. Every month the ovum reaches a particular step and is arrested.
Thus you do not get periods nor there is pregnancy.
The arrested ova in their sacs ,gather in the
ovaries .
They are then called Polycystic ovaries. One or both
ovaries can be affected.
2.Will there be a difficulty in having a baby?
In order to have a baby, you should have regular
monthly periods.
As explained above, if the ovum goes into the uterus
then only it can meet the sperm and convert to pregnancy.
But PCOS/PCOD does not let that happen. Thus it
becomes a hurdle for normal natural pregnancy.
3.What can you do at home for it?
Now as you already know this condition is related to
hormonal imbalance.
But it is also listed in the lifestyle disorders.
Thus you need to take steps to correct this
imbalance by modifying your lifestyle in
the following ways.
I.
Lose
weight. Studies say losing atleast 5% of present body weight is helpful in
regulating your cycles.
II.
Exercise
daily. It helps to regulate the hormonal imbalance. Daily brisk walking for
30min along with exercises should be done. Especially Suryanamaskar help to
stretch and stimulate the ovaries.
III.
Have
nutritious diet which will help healthy weight loss. Avoid bakery products like biscuits, white bread ,
kharis etc. Do not have processed foods like, chips, kurkure, canned foods etc.
Junk foods like maggi , pasta, burgers
are a big no no.
